IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING A REVISION CHANGE: New orders will be filled with 'Revision E' SyncPipe Parasitics. The main difference between the two is that Revision C pipes have a lower sensitivity receiver which contains a holdover timer which provides sync if GPS lock is lost, and that the Revision E pipes have a higher sensitivity receiver which is less likely to loose lock - but do not have a holdover timer. This change was necessitated by our GPS supplier discontinuing the module used in the older Revision C pipes.
The SyncPipe Parasitic for Canopy is a GPS sync receiver which is fully compatible with Motorola Canopy Access Points and Backhaul radios. It installs between your existing Canopy Power Supply and a Canopy Radio and "borrows" power to run the SyncPipe.
The SyncPipe Parasitic contains everything necessary to receive the high-accuracy timing signal from the GPS constellation which Canopy radios need to provide reliable service.
The SyncPipe has three jacks in it's interior - two RJ45's which act as a PoE passthrough, allowing the SyncPipe to borrow enough power to operate, and a single 6P6C jack which provides sync to the attached radio via a customer-provided 6 Pin Modular (RJ11-like) cable. Additional radios can be connected to this device by using a SyncSplitter (additional cost). This unit is not suitable to provide sync to a SyncInjector without creative wiring.
This device fully populates the GPS status screen on timing-port attached radios. In addition, it consumes significantly less power than previous SyncPipes - under a half a watt regardless of the voltage. In addition, this pipe is compatible with voltages up to 27V.
This product includes the SyncPipe receiver (pictured). The GPS antenna is actually integrated into the receiver so no additional antenna or coax is needed.
SHIPPING SCHEDULE: If the quantity available is greater than zero, then we have that many SyncPipes on the shelf ready to ship. For in-stock orders, we try to ship within a day or two. If the quantity available is less than zero (negative) this means we are out of stock. Out of stock orders typically ship within a week or two.
